ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
MEPAINTSME's Annual Open Call is a juried exhibition and fundraiser aimed at providing a platform for emerging and mid-career artists, while also supporting important social and humanitarian causes.
Open Call 2022 raised over $5,000 for Ukrainian Relief organizations and refugee families.
This year's Open Call 2023 will support advocacy and community groups working to end gun violence in America, including Sandy Hook Promise, Healing Hurt People, and Giffords Law Center.
As the gallery does not accept unsolicited submissions, the annual Open Call is the best way to submit your artwork for consideration by @mepaintsme. Several artists selected for the Open Call 2022 Exhibition were invited to join future group and solo exhibitions on mepaintsme.com.

SUPPORTING THESE ORGANIZATIONS
EDUCATION / INTERVENTION / LEGAL REFORM-
Sandy Hook Promise
LEARN MORESandy Hook Promise is a national nonprofit organization founded and led by several family members whose loved ones were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012. Based in Newtown, Connecticut, their intent is to honor all victims of gun violence by turning their tragedy into a moment of transformation. By empowering youth to “know the signs” and uniting all people who value the protection of children, they take meaningful actions in schools, homes, and communities to prevent gun violence and stop the tragic loss of life.

Healing Hurt People
Center for Non-Violence and Social Justice at Drexel UniversityLEARN MOREHealing Hurt People (HHP) is a hospital and community-linked violence intervention program that provides an integrated care model of trauma focused healing services (evidence-based therapy, supportive case management, and peer services) to survivors of violent injury (stabbings, shootings, and assaults) or witnesses to such violence between the ages of 8 and 35.

Giffords Law Center
LEARN MOREThe research is clear: gun laws work. The nation’s courts agree: gun laws are fully compatible with the Second Amendment. And the American people have spoken: our weak gun safety laws are killing nearly 40,000 Americans every year. Something must change.
For 30 years, Giffords Law Center has been at the forefront of the fight for justice and legislative reform.
