Her drawings and paintings are energetic, intimate, playful, uninhibited and sometimes acidic. With them, she shows and spreads her enthusiasm for the infinite richness and variety of what has been observed, experienced and imagined.
Solo exhibitions include MARTE 2021 (Castellón, Spain) and Pinta (Miami, United States) with the Galería La Gran, as well as shows at the Observatorio del Arte de Arnuero (Cantabria, Spain), El Halcón Milenario (Pontevedra, Spain), Ó!Galeria (Portugal), La Atómica (Valladolid, Spain), and Miscelánea (Barcelona, Spain).
López Balza was a finalist in the 33rd Young Art Show of La Rioja (2017) and in the IV Premio for the artistic production of the Banco Santander Foundation (Madrid, 2016). Among other recognitions, she received the UBE Acquisition Award (MARTE 2021), second prize in the Forth Manuel Ángeles Ortiz International Painting Contest (Jaén, 2019) and was awarded the Leon Adriaans’s Art Residency in the Netherlands in 2017.
