London based artist Holly Mills (b. 1990) creates tactile mixed-media paintings and drawings that viscerally explore both memory and text. Repeated motifs form part of an alt-language that evokes both the physical and emotional experience of place. Exploration of materials is an important part of the process for Mills - keeping an element of vulnerable uncertainty in the act of making.

Holly studied at Camberwell College of Arts, graduating in 2012 and at The Royal Drawing School, 2018.
