Elliott Green (b. 1960) lives and works in Athens, New York, a small town situated between the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson River. He has had solo exhibitions at Miles McEnery Gallery, New York; Pamela Salisbury Gallery, Hudson, NY; Peyton Wright Gallery, Santa Fe, NM; Pierogi, New York; Hill Gallery, Birmingham, MI; Gallery D’Amelio Terras, New York; Tibor de Nagy, New York; and Postmasters, New York. He has received two Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grants, a John Simon Guggenheim fellowship, the Rome Prize, and three prizes and awards from the Academy of Arts and Letters, along with numerous residency grants. A book of his paintings, Elliott Green: At the Far Edge of the Known World, with essays by six writers, was published by Pierogi Gallery NYC in late 2019.
