Joshua Drayzen, b.1984, is an artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Joshua’s drawings are characterized by an idiosyncratic visual language which are inspired by a wide range of references and literary influences. Mysterious rituals, billowing plumes of smoke, severed heads, beacons of light, bonelike-constellations, transparent bodies, celestial creatures and ceremonial vestments are all part of an ongoing and continuously developed taxonomy within his work. Most recently, Joshua exhibited in The Big Show at My Pet Ram in New York City along with Dodomu and Manifold Global online exhibitions. Previously, he exhibited as a member of the collaborative art group Tim Rollins and K.O.S. (Kids of Survival) with Lehmann Maupin in New York City.
