Luca De Angelis

Luca De Angelis was born in San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy in 1980 and currently lives and works in Milan. He graduated in painting and Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino. In 2013, he was invited by Andrea Bruciati to take part in the Painting Practices residency, Nogaredo al Torre, Udine, Italy. The artist's solo exhibitions include Messinscena, Palazzo Ducale, Urbino, 2018 (curated by Umberto Palestini); Dropout Auditorium Parco della Musica, Rome, 2016 (curated by Claudio Libero Pisano); and Portrait of a man, Remont Gallery, Belgrade, 2014. De Angelis has received several awards including the Level 0 Award, Coppola Foundation of Vicenza within Art Verona, 2021; Special Prize Under 35, Combat Prize, 2014; and First Prize, Emerging Art, Francesco Fabbri Foundation Award, 2013. His artwork resides in the collections of the Civic Gallery of Modena and the Domus Foundation for Modern and Contemporary Art.
