Sharon van den Berg (b. 1969, The Hague, The Netherlands) Educated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, The Netherlands. Completed a residency in Athens, Greece. Recent exhibitions include Cobra Museum of Modern Arts in Amstelveen, [re]Discoveries in Amsterdam, and 57w57arts in New York City. She has her studio in a former cowshed near Amsterdam. She makes paintings, drawings, texts, and objects, which she sometimes combines. The common thread in her work is memory; either memories from her childhood incorporating past events, old photos, or even something surreal noticed while cycling.
