Takeshi Tadatsu was born in Japan, where he currently resides. He lived and worked in New York City from 1991 to 2001, and has exhibited at galleries in New York, Paris, Tokyo, Shizuoka and San Francisco. Tadatsu's illustrations have been featured in The New Yorker, The New York Times, New York Press, Seattle Stranger, Washington City Paper, Metro, Boston Phoenix, and Yomiyuri America (United States) as well as Kodansha, Shityosha, and Magazine House (Japan).
