Masoto (b. 1990) is a visual designer based in Cagliari, Italy. His practice ranges between illustration, publishing and animation, exploring capitalist society's issues, while ruminating on its human characters' emotional quirks. His artwork layers the visual language of Zen aesthetics and traditional Sino-Japanese painting with our society's stressful and overworked attitude in an unconventional juxtaposition. Masoto holds a bachelor's degree in Product Design at NABA in Milan as well as an MA in Exhibition Design in Florence. He later specialized in UX/UI at the UX Design Institute in Dublin. He recently had a solo exhibition at PRNT in Seoul and his illustrated books are now on sale at Printed Matter in NYC. In Italy, he has collaborated with Frankenstein Magazine and newspapers such as Domani Fumetti and Corriere della Sera. He likes to work on independent publishing projects and takes part in international publishing fairs – he will soon be exhibiting at Taipei Art Book Fair.
