Calvin Kim (b. 1992, Los Angeles) is an artist based in New York. Calvin’s paintings poetically explore themes of the resonance of memory, the incubation of intimacy, and the vestiges of transformation. His work imbues the familiarity of everyday with wonder and mystery through his use of personal symbology and dreamy colors.
Kim holds a BFA and a BA in psychology from Cornell University and an MFA from Columbia University. His work has been exhibited at LaiSun Keane, Boston; Charles Moffett, New York; Fredric Snitzer, Miami; Half Gallery, New York; Subtitled NYC, New York; and Hew Hood Gallery, London among others.
