Isabel Cavenecia is a Peruvian/Dutch artist who was born in 1990. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, The Hague in 2014. She is known for her sensitive graphite and pastel drawings, where she investigates the relationship between emotions and surroundings. She has exhibited her works at several galleries and museums such as Harkawik (New York), Erratum (Berlin), Relaciones Públicas Galería (Mexico City), Across (London), Title Gallery (Santa Fe), FOAM (Amsterdam). In 2022, she was awarded a travel grant by the Mondriaan Fund, to create a body of work inspired by the silence of the desert and its inhabitants in the southwest USA.
