Peter Graham's work attempts to understand ways in which a Human Being is able to magically concretise images outside the body, from amorphous energies within the mind. His art is visually diverse and thematically eclectic, yet always acknowledging a sense of wonder - of what interior place it has originated, and what has brought it to a state of visibility in front of the eyes. He experiments across a wide range of materials to investigate the function of an art 'medium' in the occult sense - a vehicle for the metaphysical transmission of the voice from one state to another. His work is a relentless investigation of the very processes by which images come into being; wrested from corporeality by imaginative forces, and made manifest in the mediums of art. Peter Graham's work is held in many museum collections, including The British Museum and The Australian National Gallery. He was born in Sydney in 1970, and lives and works in Melbourne, Australia.
